TGD - FDR and the new deal

Franklin delano roosevelt was the 32nd president who was extremely confident, had a "can do attitude", was reform minded, had a friendly personality, and had a disability that made it harder on him but he made it through it. he had a group called the brain trust who were college professors, lawyers, and journalists who startegized plans to alleviate the great depression.one of the ideas that they crated was the new deal and it was a program designed to fix problems of the great depression three major goals that the new deal attempted to adress was to relive the needy, or, give people what they needed like food water and shelter, have some econmic recovery which meant more jobs for the people, and last financial reform so fix banks and the stock market. one of FDR's first actions were to close all bank and send an inspector to check the banks and see if they had plenty of money to pay their bills, if they did then they remained open and if not they remained closed until they were financially stable.
